Summary: Shawn and Gus are thrilled when they’re asked to join an elite security company, but the team to which they are assigned are not quite as thrilled with their unconventional techniques and the affect it has on their latest assignment: preventing the assassination of a billionaire executive.
Pineapple Location: The pineapple was an eraser on top of Little Shawn’s pencil!
Time Code:The pencil eraser pineapple is about 10 seconds in on the second shot of the show.
i dont see a pineapple there. is see a beige blob.
if that’s the answer, that would be the first time it appeared during the opening flashback.
That’s NOT a Pineapple… It’s one of those Little Alien guys from 20 years ago. HINT: pineapples don’t have a face with ears [look at the right side of it in the pic] or feet. I paused this on my hi-def dvr, and it definitely is NOT a pineapple.
I thought the same thing as Brutuss – I saw a face on the right side of the eraser on freeze frame. But USA website says “The pineapple was an eraser on top of Little Shawn’s pencil!”
When he says pineapple in the pizzaria at the beginning
At the pizza place Shawn brings up pineapple asking “Where’s the pineapple? You guys don’t have any pineapple!” (1:30)
I paused that eraser too, and I’m with Brutuss, it looked like an alien!
Will it always be a whole pineapple or can it be cut up pieces?

This eraser has legs on it. It’s not a pineapple.

the three choices are bowl, eraser, and keys. I’ve paused on all three and do not see a pineapple. Ugh!!
I think you are both right. I think the pencil eraser is correct. on one side is the pineapple the other side is a face with arms and legs. at least from what I can make of it.

this is the real pineapple it is not great quality but look to the right this is when Shawn was watching the guy on tv and noticed his hair was different the pineapple is not a real one but it looks exactly like it
Back in the ’80s, I had a whole collection of fruit & veggie characters. This was, in fact, one of those characters, and yes, it is a pineapple AND has feet & arms.
The little guy on the pencil is DEFINITELY a pineapple. I had a series of those pencil topper things as a kid. As I recall, it’s not even an eraser, just a piece of rubberized plastic junk that every little kid wants. Seems like there was an apple, a banana, a pineapple, and perhaps a couple of fruits. And yes they had arms, legs, and a face.
I spotted it the instant it came on the screen. I actually thought I might have seen something no one else had (how unclever of me).
Even if it really is a pineapple on top of Little Shawn’s pencil, it would not be the first time it appeared in a flashback. Does no one remember Gus’s pineapple piñata from “Tuesday the 13th”?
I had these pencil toppers, as well. A whole fruit salad of characters including a pineapple. And there have been flashback pineapples before. There were two in the Tuesday the 17th episode, including the piñata mentioned and a painting on the teepee.
