The pattern on the mother’s dress is definitely not pineapples. It’s an assortment of flowers and leaves.
The yellow thing in Shawn’s hand while building the doghouse is a box cutter… You can hear it clank after he throws it at the truck… Pineapple doesn’t clank.
@ pineapple hunter: Shawn does have a pineapple slice at some point in that scene, it was mentioned in the DVD commentary of the episode.
On the list he Shawn reads out (Banana, Onion, Mitchum etc,) it looks like Pineapples second from the bottom (need verification though, HD perhaps).

When Shawn is building the doghouse and Henry comes home, there seems to be a pineapple in the background hanging on the wall by the door behind the red floaty device.
Michael Mills do you even know what a pineapple is or do you need glasses, also nothing on the dress, the only one is the slice in shawns hand
the first sighting is not real. that dress does not have pineapples on it.
Sighting 1: No pineapple. The dress is flowers, with no pineapple at all. Do sightings get removed? This one should definitely be removed.
Sighting 2: As mentioned, yes it’s a pineapple. In one shot, you can see the rind.

@Pineapple Hunter: The thing in his hand is a pineapple slice. They talk about it on the commentary. That is the pineapple of the episode. I do, however, think it is unfair. Without the commentary, I would have had no idea that was a pineapple slice.
Looks like he is having Pineapple Juice when he first meets Juliet.

When Shawn is building the doghouse, right after he broke his leg Henry walks home with a plastic shopping baag, which contains a pineapple(hard to see).

Shawn is holding a pineapple slice when Henry gets home. Not only is he chewing when Henry gets out of the car but why would he be holding a hammer and box cutter at the same time? The dog house is clearly unfinished so it makes no sense at all to think Shawn would be hammering nails and cutting boxes at the same time ambidextrously. Not to mention the commentary and the fact that a pineapple slice will make a clanking noise if thrown at the front of a truck.

Could possibly have found another 27:15 on mine.. In chief’s office half the screen looking through the blinds with Gus furthest right… on the table on the right corner of the room one where the paint changes.. worth a check either a pineapple or ridiculously close looking plant and only comes into view once at the start of that scene.

i think they might have cut out when he had the pineapple in his hand because when he’s talking with his dad its a yellow box cutter. but at the begining i think he’s chewing something so that might be the pineapple they were talking about in the comentary

I definitely don’t think that the mother’s dress had pineapples, but I do think it was pineapple in the 2nd sighting. Some people have said that it was a box cutter, but that doesn’t even make sense because you see him chewing on it/eating it at one point while he’s building the dog house.
I’m 98% sure that at the end of the episode, when Shawn gets up on stage at the Bee, the second spellmaster’s tie is pineapple patterned
i don’t think there is a pineapple in the dress or on the wallpaper. Shawn is eating a slice of pineapple while working on the doghouse (at least in the episode on streampix). I saw Henry’s shopping bag for a nanosecond and it looks like it may have had a pineapple in it. I didn’t see one in the scene in the chief’s office, tho I think there may be an aloe plant in the background that does resemble the top of a pineapple. I didn’t see it on the shopping list, either.
When Sean has his initial “vision,” he mentions Kung Pao chicken, a dish that often has pineapple in it.

it looks like a piece of papaya in his hand. And I rewatch the episode again but I don’t see one pineapple on that lady suit. However when you guess is talking to the doctor on the phone at the restaurant the waitress outside the window looks to be wearing a shirt with pineapples on it. But I could be wrong.
When Gus is at the restaurant, the waitress I think… behind the window she is walking by, has pineapples on her shirt.

Holy crap…there a lot of guesses here. Most say that in the scene where Henry comes home and Shawn is working on the dog house, Shawn has a slice in his hand. But clearly when he throws the “slice”, it makes a clank when it hits the truck. I don’t think that pineapple would sound like metal hitting metal if it hits the truck…..but since everyone is stating that it is in the commentary, I must be wrong.
There is a very pineappley pineapple in this episode which does not require guessing. At 32:25, Gus looks through the camera the Spellmaster was using which shows a guy in a PINEAPPLE SHIRT sitting in front of the Czech. He is not there the first time when Shawn looks but he’s there when Gus looks.
Edit: This is Vu’s father but the pineapples are not obvious on his shirt in the hospital.
Also, upon further inspection, Shawn IS eating a slice of pineapple when his father returns at night.
I think I found one around the 4 minute mark, though it’s definitely a guess. In the flashback part of the episode when Gus says, “Let me start over.” it switches back to the audience and there’s a kid to Shawn’s left (who looks like he could play Shawn) in a yellow shirt that looks like it could possibly have pineapples on it.
What about the Pineapple juice in the beginning as he meets Juliet?
@Feileacan is definitely right about the pineapple print shirt on the man sitting in front of Mr. Prochazka, and I’m convinced that it is the only “true” appearance of pineapple in this entire episode. It is certainly the least convoluted appearance of pineapple in this episode.
The yellow object that Shawn had in his hand while working on the dog house did indeed appear to me as though he was consuming it, at first. (He appears to be chewing, and wiping away juice from his mouth.) However, as others have previously mentioned, it definitely made a thudding sound as it bounced off the truck. Which, admittedly a dense piece of fruit probably would have also made, but subsequently after bouncing off the truck, you can then hear it distinctly clattering on the ground–which a slice of pineapple definitely wouldn’t do. So I don’t know if he really was eating pineapple in that scene, & they just added the clattering sound effects in post-pro for whatever reason–but because of these peculiar sounds effects, I don’t think I’d rightfully count this instance as a pineapple appearance. (Though I have no idea why he would be using a box cutter while working on a dog house.)
Then there’s the case of what’s in Henry’s grocery bag when he returns, in the same scene. At first appearance, when paused in a frame where the bag is in full view, it does indeed appear as though a pineapple could possibly be part of its contents; perhaps the leafy green top is facing us. However, upon closer inspection, the way the light reflects off (the top, right part of) the dark green object(s) in the bag would suggest that that part of the object in question is more spherical–leading me to believe (in conjunction with the red/white rectangle shape, just above the green mass in the bag, implicating a tag) that it is in fact a small bag of limes, instead. Additionally, I would like to state that the glass of unspecified juice at the beginning of the episode, in the diner where he meets Juliet, is almost certainly just generic orange juice. Pineapple juice is often much less opaque, in comparison to orange juice, which this glass appears to consist of.
I also would like to declaim the woman’s sarong, in the restaurant where Gus was, as having any kind of pineapple pattern; in addition to the outfit of one of the other contestant’s mother’s, whom Shawn & Gus interview briefly back stage–it is truly only a floral pattern, which has both yellow and BLUE flowers, as well some palm fond-like foliage.
In conclusion, neither of the two examples (“sightings”) as present entries on this page should be counted; and instead replaced with that of the Hawaiian shirt of the man in the audience–the clearest, and perhaps sole depiction of pineapple in this episode. [I also feel like the vignetted, tunnel-vision-like view used in that brief scene is a hint for us to discover its presence there.]

The shirt of the man is most likely a pine cone on a branch. Not a pineapple because the foliage is at the side instead of on top. I agree Shawn is clearly eating a slice of pineapple when Dad returns from store.
Anyone else notice how when Shawn is holding “pineapple” when he’s trying to build the dog house he throws it at the car and it makes a Metallic loud sound. Not pineapple. I think it’s the person when gus is at the restaurant and someone in a purple shirt walks behind. It looks like there are pineapples on the shirt

i know it’s not a pineapple exactly but they did hang a yellow dress in front of a palm tree painting, making the sleeve and look like a 🍍. seeing as everything in film and tv is intentional, id say it counts
